In the 3rd minute, Ermegildo Zubiete got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ermegildo Zubiete struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Salomone Coloma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sacaya. Ermegildo Zubiete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Salomone Coloma made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Sacaya's zone, Epifanío Felice stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Katalinic came out of the goal and Epifanío Felice tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Naelio Jozic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ermegildo Zubiete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Salomone Coloma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Sacaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Hugo Guillestegui to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Sacaya's Salomone Coloma threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ceandro Albis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Victor Hugo Guillestegui's late challenge caught a Lerios Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Hugo Guillestegui helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sacaya's Victor Hugo Guillestegui got a free kick in the 29th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Epifanío Felice managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lerios Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Epifanío Felice was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Katalinic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 minutes of play, Lerios Fc's Oscar Daire made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nestor Katalinic was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute Naelio Jozic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Katalinic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Oscar Daire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lerios Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Daire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Katalinic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ermegildo Iturrieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Epifanío Felice to make the kick off. When Lerios Fc's Epifanío Felice in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sacaya's goalie prevented a goal. Victor Hugo Guillestegui was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Victor Hugo Guillestegui kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Ermegildo Zubiete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salomone Coloma having to interfere. Salomone Coloma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Zubiete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Ermegildo Zubiete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salomone Coloma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70th play minutes Oscar Daire shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Nestor Katalinic and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lerios Fc's goalkeeper Salomone Coloma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 80th match minute, Lerios Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Próspero Agnese to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Zubiete in the 81st minute of play forced Lerios Fc's goalkeeper Salomone Coloma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sacaya's Gilberto Costabal got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Ceandro Albis kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Naelio Jozic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sacaya's zone, Oscar Daire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Katalinic came out of the goal and Oscar Daire tried to chip the ball over his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Daire got free with Nestor Katalinic in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lerios Fc's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
