The referee showed Narciso Rivadeneira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes COLO-COLO got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Rivadeneira. After 14 played minutes COLO-COLO got a freekick which was hit by José Luis Menart. When Eufemio Izammit fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Orden Negra's protests and gave Eufemio Izammit a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to La Orden Negra getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Eufemio Izammit hit a great ball. The supporters of COLO-COLO booed when La Orden Negra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobías Raab didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the game, La Orden Negra's Tobías Raab nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rigoberto Barcelo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 31 minutes, Adam Mac Donald mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Orden Negra and the COLO-COLO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adam Mac Donald kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When Narciso Rivadeneira came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the COLO-COLO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Rivadeneira couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anselmo Iturralde to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, La Orden Negra's Adam Mac Donald got a free kick in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, COLO-COLO's Ricardo Berendique got a free kick in the 70th minute. Rigoberto Barcelo came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by La Orden Negra's Eufemio Izammit. But to his dismay, Eufemio Izammit quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Roldán Davis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to COLO-COLO getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Igon Olivares hit a great ball. Rigoberto Barcelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Verdejo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
