Narciso Rivadeneira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Marcelo Peebles. SANEANDO EL CLUB's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SANEANDO EL CLUB's zone, Ludovico Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Marcelo Peebles came out of the goal and Ludovico Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evelio Evar hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Rigoberto Barcelo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Octavio Larraeta. Despite being the better team, COLO-COLO failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
