Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Anselmo Iturralde kicked off to start the match. Anselmo Iturralde hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. COLO-COLO's Rigoberto Barcelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Marti in the 19th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Iturralde in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stig Widberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victoro Lillo got free with Rigoberto Barcelo in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rigoberto Barcelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Galdos, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ilalla FC's zone, Anselmo Iturralde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stig Widberg came out of the goal and Anselmo Iturralde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the game, Teodoro Azaola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ilalla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave COLO-COLO the free kick. A collision led to Ilalla FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Teodoro Azaola hit a great ball. Anselmo Iturralde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Stig Widberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Ilalla FC's Casimiro Galdos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. COLO-COLO were furious when Narciso Rivadeneira was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Casimiro Galdos to make the kick off. With a little luck, Ilalla FC's Stig Widberg got control of the ball when Anselmo Iturralde tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th minute, Ilalla FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anselmo Iturralde fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Miguel Marti took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rigoberto Barcelo. Rigoberto Barcelo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. After 66 played minutes Ilalla FC got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Galdos. 68 minutes into the match, COLO-COLO's goal looked a bit too open when Victoro Lillo came free, but Rigoberto Barcelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludovico Aguiar in the 71st minute of play forced Ilalla FC's goalkeeper Stig Widberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Menéndez Portolés fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ilalla FC's protests and gave Menéndez Portolés a yellow card for diving instead. Menéndez Portolés hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the game, Ilalla FC's Casimiro Galdos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rigoberto Barcelo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Ludovico Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Widberg having to interfere. If Anselmo Iturralde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
