The referee ignored Atlética de Concepción's protests and gave Marco Alzerreca a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Atlética de Concepción was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Alzerreca to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Mancheño in the 10th minute of play forced Atlética de Concepción's goalkeeper Agustín Honores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrico Foretic got free with Agustín Honores in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Jesus Egaña got free with Agustín Honores in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agustín Honores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrico Foretic in the 37th minute of play. Agustín Honores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Jesus Egaña made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Hilaricos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javiero Escobar to maneuver through the defense. Agustín Honores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Jesus Egaña in the 56th minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, Hilaricos FC's Henrico Foretic made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agustín Honores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mario Jesus Egaña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Atlética de Concepción's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Jesus Egaña came free, but Agustín Honores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dionisio Abarca during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Atlética de Concepción booed when Hilaricos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Abarca didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Mancheño couldn't finish the play.
