The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 5th minute, where union española s.a.:s Aristeo Potts tricked FC Barcelona B:s Epifanío Vos de Vos with a difficult ball by the left post. 12 minutes into the game, Stig Malmgren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Epifanío Vos de Vos. Stig Malmgren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Stig Malmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stig Malmgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanío Vos de Vos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. If Stig Malmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona B's Manuel Pradenas got a free kick in the 20th minute. Epifanío Vos de Vos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 21st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aristeo Potts. With his leg Epifanío Vos de Vos managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when union española s.a.'s Stig Malmgren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Stig Malmgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stig Malmgren in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Epifanío Vos de Vos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to union española s.a. getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Denis Bayon hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona B's Manuel Pradenas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Stig Malmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig Malmgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Epifanío Vos de Vos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig Malmgren ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Stig Malmgren made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the FC Barcelona B defense, Stig Malmgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanío Vos de Vos. The FC Barcelona B fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanío Vos de Vos should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona B's zone, Stig Malmgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanío Vos de Vos came out of the goal and Stig Malmgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the game, union española s.a.'s Stig Malmgren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Epifanío Vos de Vos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Epifanío Vos de Vos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Malmgren in the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Barcelona B getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Manuel Pradenas hit a great ball. union española s.a.'s Nauzet Fontaner was substituted for Vicens Espina. Karim Catrileo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enrique Enoch having to make a save. After 94 minutes, Stig Malmgren made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC Barcelona B's Epifanío Vos de Vos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. union española s.a. had played much better football throughout.
