When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Victorino Peake sped through Deporte Provincial Osorno's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudio Bravo. After a rather tough play, Deporte Provincial Osorno's Siluna Phillips got a free kick in the 9th minute. Claudio Bravo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Astudillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deporte Provincial Osorno's Claudio Bravo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Peake in the 12th minute of play. If Julio Cachero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Victorino Peake's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudio Bravo was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Victorino Peake who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Claudio Bravo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 92 minutes into the game, Washington Benítez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deporte Provincial Osorno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Anderlecht Huachipato the free kick. A collision led to Deporte Provincial Osorno getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Washington Benítez hit a great ball. Eufemio Ehijo took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Bravo. Claudio Bravo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The Deporte Provincial Osorno fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Anderlecht Huachipato were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
