Union Española's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deporte Provincial Osorno the free kick. The supporters of Deporte Provincial Osorno booed when Union Española was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nafarroa San Miguel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natalio Duarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Oliva in the 8th minute. Joel Oliva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natalio Duarte having to make a save. In the 16th minute, Víctor Javier Gallegos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Oliva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Natalio Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Claudio Bravo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Barrales in the 34th minute of the match. Joel Oliva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Natalio Duarte made a huge save. Abelardo Esquerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Claudio Bravo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaac Davy to make the kick off. When Roger Ormachea came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Union Española fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Ormachea couldn't finish the play. Isaac Davy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Duarte having to interfere. Abelardo Esquerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nauzet Millape hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Joel Oliva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantino Barrales got free with Claudio Bravo in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Víctor Javier Gallegos hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Deporte Provincial Osorno's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
