Spectators: 8457 (Terracing: 6344, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 169) MFD Eindhoven's José Alberto Lerga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, José Alberto Lerga made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. VALENZUELA FC's Baltazar Angel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Baltazar Angel made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when José Alberto Lerga sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by VALENZUELA FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Isaiás Pareja was slow to take the kick. During this time MFD Eindhoven's players had a chance to rest. MFD Eindhoven's Isaiás Pareja was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Baltazar Angel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. VALENZUELA FC's Baltazar Angel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save VALENZUELA FC from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute, Lois Pezoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Alberto Lerga in the 15th minute of play forced VALENZUELA FC's goalkeeper Baltazar Angel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltazar Angel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Alberto Lerga in the 17th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lois Pezoa in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dagoberto Cameno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baltazar Angel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Alberto Lerga, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When MFD Eindhoven's José Alberto Lerga in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VALENZUELA FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 28th minute José Alberto Lerga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Angel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moisés Ossandon scored 2-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baltazar Angel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Moisés Ossandon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lois Pezoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lois Pezoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of MFD Eindhoven booed when VALENZUELA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lois Pezoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltazar Angel came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by MFD Eindhoven's Moisés Ossandon. But to his dismay, Moisés Ossandon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernesto Pacho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Moisés Ossandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 minutes VALENZUELA FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Isaiás Pareja who took care of the corner kick. Dagoberto Cameno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lois Pezoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Baltazar Angel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Ossandon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, VALENZUELA FC's Gottfried Ferl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dagoberto Cameno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Baltazar Angel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Alberto Lerga, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Moisés Ossandon fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MFD Eindhoven's protests and gave Moisés Ossandon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to MFD Eindhoven getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Moisés Ossandon hit a great ball. Baltazar Angel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serafín Borja's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Jhon Wisgerhof hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. MFD Eindhoven's Eladio Carcamo was substituted for Bo Björklund. After 81 played minutes MFD Eindhoven got a freekick which was hit by Jhon Wisgerhof. With a little luck, MFD Eindhoven's Dagoberto Cameno got control of the ball when Eduardo Orden tried to sneak it across the goal line. MFD Eindhoven made a substitution. Erasmo Orozco replaced Francisco Miguel Sotta. MFD Eindhoven's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
