Spectators: 8180 (Terracing: 6137, Seating: 1881, VIP seats: 162) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lucero Marrodan kicked off to start the match. Marcelo Salas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Aránguiz having to interfere. But to his dismay, Marcelo Salas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Bermejo Schlubach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Aránguiz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Salas went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafa Jackson during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, The Celestial Lion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Jackson to maneuver through the defense. Lucero Marrodan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Alberto Poletti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 25th minute, Valerio Milan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, Marcelo Salas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauricio Aránguiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Mauricio Aránguiz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yüksel Karadeniz went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, Yüksel Karadeniz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Celestial Lion fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Mauricio Aránguiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Salas in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Alberto Poletti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucero Marrodan, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The supporters of The Celestial Lion booed when Sacaya AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Rober didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Sacaya AFC defense, Rafa Jackson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauricio Aránguiz. The Sacaya AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauricio Aránguiz should have stopped the shot. Bermejo Schlubach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sacaya AFC's Mauricio Aránguiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Salas in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Bermejo Schlubach recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mauricio Aránguiz. Bermejo Schlubach showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. After 71 played minutes The Celestial Lion got a freekick which was hit by Tanio Klein. Bermejo Schlubach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Mauricio Aránguiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bermejo Schlubach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st match minute, Sacaya AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucero Marrodan to maneuver through the defense. Sacaya AFC's Mauricio Aránguiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Sacaya AFC from getting a goal against them. The Celestial Lion's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
