An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobías Olano in the 2nd minute of play forced Rapa Nui's goalkeeper Reynaldo Balladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Gibbs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Balladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lastur Mestanza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Balladares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lastur Mestanza's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute Edilberto Landea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boruc Pleban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeo Maraman got free with Reynaldo Balladares in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 25 played minutes Rapa Nui got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Cauffmann. 28 minutes into the match, Lastur Mestanza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Balladares. Rapa Nui's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lastur Mestanza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Jonny McNamara sped through Rapa Nui's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reynaldo Balladares. 34 minutes into the match, Challaserca's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Gibbs came free, but Boruc Pleban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Rapa Nui's goalkeeper Reynaldo Balladares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Maraman. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Challaserca booed when Rapa Nui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xosé Tapia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boruc Pleban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Javier Ordaz in the 55th minute of the match. Saúl Anabalon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Boruc Pleban made a huge save. Reynaldo Balladares came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Challaserca's Jonny McNamara. But to his dismay, Jonny McNamara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Rapa Nui made a substitution. Yeray Villalta replaced José Javier Ordaz. Reynaldo Balladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demetrio Meter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeo Maraman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Jonny McNamara made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Balladares. Rapa Nui's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Reynaldo Balladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonny McNamara in the 81st minute of the match. After 83 played minutes Rapa Nui got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Celedón. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonny McNamara in the 87th minute of play forced Rapa Nui's goalkeeper Reynaldo Balladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Lastur Mestanza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Balladares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaldo Balladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lastur Mestanza, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Jonny McNamara notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Rapa Nui's Reynaldo Balladares. Reynaldo Balladares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rapa Nui's Reynaldo Balladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Maraman in the 94th minute of play. Reynaldo Balladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lastur Mestanza in the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Challaserca had won after a very even match.
