In the 12th minute, Sal Tarin made a precise shot to the right of Siluna San Miguel. U de Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Nestor Federigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siluna San Miguel having to interfere. Siluna San Miguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nauzet Delano, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute, Sporting quilpue's Nauzet Delano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Elias Evar came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by U de Chile's Orlondón Mac Millan. But to his dismay, Orlondón Mac Millan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 32nd minute Orlondón Mac Millan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Evar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nauzet Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Evar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Alejandro Huaiquipan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Sporting quilpue's goal looked a bit too open when Orlondón Mac Millan came free, but Elias Evar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when José Alejandro Huaiquipan made the kick off in the second half. Sporting quilpue's Elias Evar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting quilpue from getting a goal against them. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting quilpue's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Orlondón Mac Millan was slow to take the kick. During this time U de Chile's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in José Alejandro Huaiquipan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sporting quilpue's Elias Evar did a great save. When Sal Tarin came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Sporting quilpue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sal Tarin couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Sporting quilpue's Nauzet Silva got a free kick in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Orlondón Mac Millan managed to get in a good position for a shot. U de Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlondón Mac Millan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Evar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nauzet Silva hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, U de Chile's Osvaldo Pruniel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting quilpue's zone, Paulín Burgos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Evar came out of the goal and Paulín Burgos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elias Evar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Alejandro Huaiquipan in the 93rd minute of play. After 95 played minutes U de Chile got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Pruniel. The U de Chile players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Sporting quilpue from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
