With an all-out effort, Curicó-Unido's Tudor Vrednic threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eduardo Vargas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 16 minutes into the match, Álvaro Zambujal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tudor Vrednic. HellFire FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Álvaro Zambujal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 20th minute, Eduardo Vargas made a precise shot to the right of Tudor Vrednic. HellFire FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. HellFire FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Eduardo Vargas scored to the left of an out of position Tudor Vrednic, making the score, 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Curicó-Unido's Blas Urtungo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tudor Vrednic. That made the score 5-0 after 27 minutes of play. Tudor Vrednic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Zambujal in the 32nd minute of play forced HellFire FC's goalkeeper Tudor Vrednic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tudor Vrednic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Vargas in the 35th minute of the match. The Curicó-Unido fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Tauro Orellana hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Curicó-Unido were the better team. Curicó-Unido's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
