With a little luck, Universidad Catolica's Saturnino Birila got control of the ball when Andrés Zepeda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Saturnino Birila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jardel das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Desiderio Borges to strike the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrés Zepeda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Universidad Catolica defense, Miquel Maquieira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saturnino Birila. The Universidad Catolica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saturnino Birila should have stopped the shot. CD.AUKINKO's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
