Spectators: 8493 (Terracing: 6371, Seating: 1953, VIP seats: 169) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eduardo Vargas kicked off to start the match. Elias Evar came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Curicó-Unido's Eduardo Vargas. But to his dismay, Eduardo Vargas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Elias Evar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 7thth minute of the game Blas Urtungo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting quilpue's Elias Evar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Blas Urtungo scored 0-2 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elias Evar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Román Hoefler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curicó-Unido's supporters rose to their feet, but Román Hoefler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Evar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blas Urtungo took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elias Evar. Elias Evar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zebulón Zarricueta during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Curicó-Unido booed when Sporting quilpue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zebulón Zarricueta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Sporting quilpue defense, Álvaro Zambujal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Evar. The Sporting quilpue fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Evar should have stopped the shot. Sporting quilpue's Elias Evar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Vargas in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Curicó-Unido got a corner. Sporting quilpue's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Román Hoefler ran over to the corner to take the kick. Román Hoefler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Evar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Eduardo Vargas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curicó-Unido fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. 37 minutes into the game, Curicó-Unido's Román Hoefler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elias Evar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. In the 40thth minute of the game Blas Urtungo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting quilpue's Elias Evar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elias Evar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduardo Vargas went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute Blas Urtungo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Evar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Curicó-Unido were leading 0-10. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nauzet Delano made a kick off. Blas Urtungo might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Evar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blas Urtungo ran back to his position shaking his head. Blas Urtungo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elias Evar was a little too slow when Elías Albornoz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-11. The crowd rose to their feet as Orlondón Marileo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elias Evar. That made the score 0-12 in the 56 minute of play. Blas Urtungo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-13 in the 60th playminute. Elias Evar was a little too slow when Román Hoefler got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-14. After a rather tough play, Sporting quilpue's Nauzet Delano got a free kick in the 66th minute. Curicó-Unido made a substitution. Juan Raúl Falcón replaced Visen Mattensohn. Nauzet Delano hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. If Álvaro Zambujal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the game, Blas Urtungo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elias Evar. Blas Urtungo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-17. In the 82nd minute, Curicó-Unido's Hipolito Angeloni dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-18. Curicó-Unido's Eduardo Vargas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 87th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Blas Urtungo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Elias Evar made a huge save. 94 minutes into the match, Sporting quilpue's goalkeeper Elias Evar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blas Urtungo. Elias Evar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elías Albornoz in the 95th minute of play. Curicó-Unido played a much better game than Sporting quilpue and deserved their victory. The Sporting quilpue players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
