Moisés Villarroel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Laureano Sánchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19thth minute of the game Joel Abaitua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Araucampeón Retirado's Pedro Manuel Zuburu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Laureano Sánchez came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Araucampeón Retirado's Halil Okaner. But to his dismay, Halil Okaner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 30 minutes, Héctor Soffia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Araucampeón Retirado and the Fc Cebollitas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Araucampeón Retirado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Héctor Soffia to maneuver through the defense. Halil Okaner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 34th minute, Halil Okaner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laureano Sánchez was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Laureano Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Villarroel in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alcides Rocha made a kick off. After 60 minutes, Halil Okaner made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Fc Cebollitas's Laureano Sánchez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Manuel Zuburu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 68th minute, which inside left pole to 6-1. Epifanío Popelaire made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Araucampeón Retirado's Moisés Villarroel. 73 minutes into the match, Halil Okaner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laureano Sánchez. Fc Cebollitas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Halil Okaner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. When Halil Okaner came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Araucampeón Retirado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Halil Okaner couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Darien Despouy had to leave the field with a concussion. Halil Okaner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Sánchez having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fc Cebollitas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Araucampeón Retirado.
