With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricard Dell´Orto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 8 minutes into the match, Eleuterio Aceiton notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Matancillos FC's Ricard Dell´Orto. Ricard Dell´Orto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricard Dell´Orto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Aceiton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Víctor Javier Escobillana struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Ricard Dell´Orto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Teja Independiente. A collision led to Teja Independiente getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Damián Urra hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Aristides Julio fired a really elegant long shot, but Tom Howard threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. When Eleuterio Aceiton, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 25 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ricard Dell´Orto was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If José Marcelo Vildosola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Eleuterio Aceiton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricard Dell´Orto was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domingo Pezoa during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tom Howard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Pezoa in the 40th minute of the match. Aristides Julio hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match, Pere Abaroa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tom Howard saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Teja Independiente's Tom Howard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Teja Independiente from getting a goal against them.

The wind increased when Pere Abaroa made the kick off in the second half. Leoncio Fridman hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Teja Independiente's Abdón Baros couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 51st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Matancillos FC. Ricard Dell´Orto made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Eleuterio Aceiton sent off a good shot on target. 56 minutes into the match, Teja Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Pere Abaroa came free, but Tom Howard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Teja Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Edilberto Bulnes came free, but Tom Howard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Matancillos FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Domingo Pezoa hit a great ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Edilberto Bulnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matancillos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edilberto Bulnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Víctor Javier Escobillana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricard Dell´Orto having to make a save. Tom Howard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Vivar in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Teja Independiente's Eliazar Buitrago ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricard Dell´Orto. Ricard Dell´Orto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Roque Dittborn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricard Dell´Orto having to interfere. After some careless play in the Matancillos FC defense, Eliazar Buitrago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricard Dell´Orto. The Matancillos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricard Dell´Orto should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded Teja Independiente left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Matancillos FC.
