Hijos del Sol's supporters rose to their feet, but Robustiano Olate was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tom Howard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tom Howard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomir Mleczewski in the 37th minute of play. C.D. y S. Hijos del Sol's Marian Topolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Messia in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Teja Independiente getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Basilio Lautroup hit a great ball. Felipo Knauer struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Tom Howard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.D. y S. Hijos del Sol. 46 minutes into the match, Teja Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Olate came free, but Tom Howard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermelando Peebles took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tom Howard. Tom Howard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robustiano Olate made a kick off. Tom Howard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grégoire Scorţea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute of the match, Robustiano Olate got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tom Howard was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 57th minute, Roque Dittborn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marian Topolski was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 60th minute Grégoire Scorţea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Howard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, C.D. y S. Hijos del Sol's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Messia came free, but Marian Topolski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hijos del Sol's Radomir Mleczewski in the 76th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Tom Howard was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Teja Independiente through an amazing save. 83 minutes into the match, Radomir Mleczewski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tom Howard, 3-2. C.D. y S. Hijos del Sol made a substitution. Leonel Swinburn replaced Hermelando Peebles. C.D. y S. Hijos del Sol made a substitution. Chronis Bekyros replaced Felipo Knauer. Leonel Swinburn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Howard having to interfere. C.D. y S. Hijos del Sol were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Teja Independiente to leave the ground with a draw.
