Matancillos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VILLANUEVA FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Matancillos FC's Mariano Arestizabal got a free kick in the 4th minute. Ricard Dell´Orto came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by VILLANUEVA FC's Jorge Vicente Soler. But to his dismay, Jorge Vicente Soler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 7th minute Xalvador Mac Kenney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricard Dell´Orto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xacobo Barroso struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Ricard Dell´Orto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VILLANUEVA FC. In the 14thth minute of the game Jorge Vicente Soler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matancillos FC's Ricard Dell´Orto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute Jorge Vicente Soler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricard Dell´Orto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Vicente Soler had several of the Matancillos FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Ricard Dell´Orto as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ricard Dell´Orto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Vicente Soler in the 30th minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Edilberto Bulnes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matancillos FC and the VILLANUEVA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Matancillos FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Edilberto Bulnes hit a great ball. Ricard Dell´Orto came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by VILLANUEVA FC's Jorge Vicente Soler. But to his dismay, Jorge Vicente Soler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Jorge Vicente Soler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricard Dell´Orto having to make a save. After 39 minutes of play, VILLANUEVA FC's Marcel Blanco made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricard Dell´Orto was left in no man's land by his defense there! 42 minutes into the game, Xacobo Barroso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricard Dell´Orto. Xacobo Barroso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 7-0. In the 45th minute, Mariano Arestizabal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When VILLANUEVA FC's Jorge Vicente Soler in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matancillos FC's goalie prevented a goal.

The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Vicente Soler in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricard Dell´Orto saved Matancillos FC from getting behind. In the 88th minute Jorge Vicente Soler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricard Dell´Orto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 minutes of play Matancillos FC's Edilberto Bulnes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 91st minute, Edilberto Bulnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Jorge Vicente Soler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricard Dell´Orto was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. VILLANUEVA FC had played much better football throughout.
