When VILLANUEVA FC's Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Talcampeón FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in VILLANUEVA FC's zone, Aurelio Paredes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicodemo Recalde came out of the goal and Aurelio Paredes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicodemo Recalde made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Aurelio Paredes sent off a good shot on target. A well-hit corner resulted in Aurelio Paredes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Yeray Necochea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicodemo Recalde having to interfere. Nicodemo Recalde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Fritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Aurelio Paredes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nicodemo Recalde. The goal made the score 1-0. Talcampeón FC's Carlos Alberto Villa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Vicente Soler in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Talcampeón FC's Marcelino Fritz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 38th minute, Jorge Vicente Soler made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Alberto Villa. Talcampeón FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. A hard shot 40 in the game by Lolo Acharan from a close distance when the talented Nicodemo Recalde managed to make a qualified save. VILLANUEVA FC's players were relieved. Yeray Necochea scored 3-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicodemo Recalde, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Fritz in the 47th minute of play forced VILLANUEVA FC's goalkeeper Nicodemo Recalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Vicente Soler to make the kick off. Nicodemo Recalde came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Talcampeón FC's Aurelio Paredes. But to his dismay, Aurelio Paredes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Marcel Blanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, VILLANUEVA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yeray Necochea came free, but Nicodemo Recalde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelino Fritz in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicodemo Recalde saved VILLANUEVA FC from getting behind. 64 minutes into the match, Lolo Acharan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicodemo Recalde. VILLANUEVA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lolo Acharan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Talcampeón FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
