Gabriel Voineag dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Shohoku FC's Gabriel Voineag proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Shohoku FC from getting a goal against them. 24 minutes into the match, Shohoku FC's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Irigoyen came free, but Gabriel Voineag reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Luís Oliveira fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shohoku FC's protests and gave Luís Oliveira a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Shohoku FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Oliveira. 28 minutes into the match, Shohoku FC's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Irigoyen came free, but Gabriel Voineag reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute of the match General Velásquez got a corner. Shohoku FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Renato Goycolea ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led General Velásquez's Gustav Tidéksson to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Voineag despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jorge Vicente Squella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Gabriel Voineag made a huge save. In the 37th minute İlbey Tunçdağ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Tucknott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Mark Javia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shohoku FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mark Javia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apolo Irigoyen got free with Gabriel Voineag in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Apolo Irigoyen to make the kick off. Gabriel Voineag stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Vicente Squella's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Henry Tucknott had great luck who in the 80thth minute grab hold of the ball when İlbey Tunçdağ from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. If Renato Goycolea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Manuelo Oñez y Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shohoku FC's Gabriel Voineag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Vicente Squella in the 92nd minute of play. After 94 minutes of play, General Velásquez's Jorge Vicente Squella made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Voineag was left in no man's land by his defense there! General Velásquez's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
