Teja Independiente's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Yeray Necochea scored to the left of an out of position Tom Howard, making the score, 2-0. After 32 minutes Talcampeón FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abdón Baros who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Eliazar Buitrago managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 38 minutes Teja Independiente's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Román Ahrens who took care of the corner kick. After some careless play in the Teja Independiente defense, Lolo Acharan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tom Howard. The Teja Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tom Howard should have stopped the shot. With a left leg Tom Howard saved Teja Independiente from getting behind. In the 72ndth minute of the game Lolo Acharan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Teja Independiente's Tom Howard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tom Howard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lolo Acharan's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Fritz in the 81st minute of play forced Teja Independiente's goalkeeper Tom Howard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelino Fritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Talcampeón FC had won after a very even match.
