Ricard Dell´Orto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Pere Abaroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricard Dell´Orto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İlbey Tunçdağ in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute Yerko Maloku shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricard Dell´Orto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Selmo Jaime got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricard Dell´Orto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İlbey Tunçdağ in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İlbey Tunçdağ in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricard Dell´Orto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shohoku FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Voineag, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 38 minutes, İlbey Tunçdağ managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shohoku FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but İlbey Tunçdağ was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Vivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Voineag having to interfere. After the first half Shohoku FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when İlbey Tunçdağ made the kick off in the second half. When Mark Javia came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Shohoku FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Javia couldn't finish the play. İlbey Tunçdağs short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Ricard Dell´Orto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Shohoku FC's Gabriel Voineag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pere Abaroa in the 58th minute of play. Mariano Arestizabal hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Torgny Petersson came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Shohoku FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torgny Petersson couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Matancillos FC's Edilberto Bulnes got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Shohoku FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Matancillos FC.
