Wei Cheng Ling took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rambo Ramírez. Rambo Ramírez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Colo-Colo's zone, Jonathan Hellström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rambo Ramírez came out of the goal and Jonathan Hellström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Colo-Colo's Carlitos Caszely was substituted for Pablo Solari. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Hellström to make the kick off. Tom Wall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlitos Caszely, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Avram Chițac made in the 56th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ☠QUINTERO☠'s Lambe Kü.
