Luis Alberto Lazcano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Luis Alberto Lazcano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jermaine Pennant in the 23rd minute of the match. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Bairon Mateluna managed to work through Rústicos FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bairon Mateluna dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dito Mandrak in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luis Alberto Lazcano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 47th minute, Dito Mandrak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Alberto Lazcano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After the first half Rústicos FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Bairon Mateluna made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Rústicos FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Bareyre. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Romildo Madrid got a free kick in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Nazario Huici came free, but Luis Alberto Lazcano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Jermaine Pennant suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Clemente Barros's late challenge caught a Rústicos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clemente Barros helped the player get up and apologised. Rústicos FC's Christiano Guajardo was substituted for Jermaine Pennant. Clemente Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Mandrak in the 59th minute of play forced Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Luis Alberto Lazcano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Rústicos FC booed when Club Deportes Santa Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernán Nancupel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute Nazario Huici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Alberto Lazcano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Nazario Huici sped through Club Deportes Santa Cruz's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luis Alberto Lazcano. Romildo Madrid charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romildo Madrid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Romildo Madrid kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Luis Alberto Lazcano got control of the ball when Nazario Huici tried to sneak it across the goal line.
