Aurelio Antonioletti helped the player get up and apologised. U.C.MILÁN's Tito Artigas was substituted for Vilhelm Vilhelmsson. The supporters of U.C.MILÁN booed when Club Deportes Santa Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Antonioletti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severo Aninat received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Teodosio Cerda came out and tried to block the shot, but Severo Aninat slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Tito Artigas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teodosio Cerda. Tito Artigas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Tito Artigas might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodosio Cerda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tito Artigas ran back to his position shaking his head. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Tito Artigas scored to the left of an out of position Teodosio Cerda, making the score, 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportes Santa Cruz's zone, Tito Artigas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Cerda came out of the goal and Tito Artigas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodosio Cerda didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 35th minute, which inside left pole to 5-0. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Tito Artigas scored to the left of an out of position Teodosio Cerda, making the score, 6-0. Tito Artigas took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodosio Cerda. Teodosio Cerda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

The wind increased when Elazar Dighero made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Tito Artigas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodosio Cerda was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. After having played for 55 minutes, Tito Artigas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U.C.MILÁN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tito Artigas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Tito Artigas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Teodosio Cerda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Tito Artigas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodosio Cerda was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Tito Artigas took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodosio Cerda. Teodosio Cerda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. After some careless play in the Club Deportes Santa Cruz defense, Tito Artigas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodosio Cerda. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodosio Cerda should have stopped the shot. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Teodosio Cerda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tito Artigas in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Tito Artigas made a precise shot to the right of Teodosio Cerda. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 13-0. Menéndez Walton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Rufo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tito Artigas might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodosio Cerda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tito Artigas ran back to his position shaking his head. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Teodosio Cerda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tito Artigas in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Tito Artigas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodosio Cerda was frozen by the shot and now it was 14-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. U.C.MILÁN fully deserved thier win.
