In the 4thth minute of the game Dito Mandrak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CDU Católica's Salamón Del Fierro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Salamón Del Fierro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Mandrak in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th minute Damario Benoit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salamón Del Fierro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Dito Mandrak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Salamón Del Fierro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nazario Huici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Salamón Del Fierro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
