Baez FC's Thalis Papazisis came free and shot a quick shot against goal 11 minutes in the game, fortunately Tobías Quilempan had problems saving as it came toward the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thalis Papazisis in the 24th minute of play forced Club Deportes La Serena's goalkeeper Tobías Quilempan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Thalis Papazisis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baez FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Carvallo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 35 minutes Baez FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ermegildo Fazzini who took care of the corner kick. In the 35th minute, Soso Cheishvili left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportes La Serena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Baez FC booed when Club Deportes La Serena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Said Hamed didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tobías Quilempan made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Ni Zhen Feng sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thalis Papazisis to make the kick off. Tobías Quilempan came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Baez FC's Thalis Papazisis. But to his dismay, Thalis Papazisis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 56 minutes into the match, Club Deportes La Serena's goal looked a bit too open when Ni Zhen Feng came free, but Tobías Quilempan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruperto Ralondo made a great header on Baez FC's corner, it was just that Club Deportes La Serena's Tobías Quilempan managed to reach the ball for a save. 60 minutes into the match, Club Deportes La Serena's goal looked a bit too open when Thalis Papazisis came free, but Tobías Quilempan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Baez FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Carvallo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Said Hamed. Juan Luis Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Club Deportes La Serena's Salvatore Bunster was substituted for Juan Luis Illescas. A collision led to Club Deportes La Serena getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Juan Luis Illescas hit a great ball. Thalis Papazisis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ermegildo Fazzini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd match minute, Club Deportes La Serena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Soso Cheishvili to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Deportes La Serena players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Baez FC.
