The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thalis Papazisis got free with Vinos Garland in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Balonek in the 5th minute of play forced Los Andes Hotspur's goalkeeper Vinos Garland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Andes Hotspur's Vinos Garland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thalis Papazisis in the 9th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Baez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Efraín Jorge came free, but Horacio Jesus Carvallo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Los Andes Hotspur's Zygmunt Pieprz got a free kick in the 18th minute. Vinos Garland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thalis Papazisis's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Ni Zhen Feng could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Vinos Garland however easily saved by the left post. In the 32nd minute, Thalis Papazisis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Filip Balonek came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Baez FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filip Balonek couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute Thalis Papazisis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinos Garland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruperto Ralondo charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruperto Ralondo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th match minute, Baez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Ralondo to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Efraín Jorge to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Juan Estevan Maettig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Jesus Carvallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vinos Garland came out of the goal and Filip Balonek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horacio Jesus Carvallo made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Juan Estevan Maettig sent off a good shot on target. Los Andes Hotspur's Vinos Garland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thalis Papazisis in the 94th minute of play.
