In the 9th minute Tiaguinho Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arlindo Meireles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge de Carvalho having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Fernando Zanette in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge de Carvalho saved Estremoz from getting behind. The long shot by Rodrigo Queiroz in the 23rd minute really tested Mauro Quadros's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 25th minute, Carlos Fernando Zanette ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge de Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jorge de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlindo Meireles in the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Carlos Fernando Zanette had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge de Carvalho. Estremoz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Fernando Zanette was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Jorge de Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Fernando Zanette's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge de Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Arlindo Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juventus F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Arlindo Meireles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge de Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

A sloppy throw-in by Paulinho Viana in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Juventus F.C's Bruno Diniz.
