In the 14th match minute, Ararai SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Simão to maneuver through the defense. Willian França was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Abelardo Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ararai SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Abelardo Brodel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willian França breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Marcos Botelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armindo Perez was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Ararai SS's Arnaldo Tinoco got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Willian França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Brodel in the 57th minute of the match.
