An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Novaes in the 5th minute of play forced Maracuja's goalkeeper Luís Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caetano Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias dos Santos in the 7th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Leonel Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jansen SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Sarmento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute Chico Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes, Cláudio Paes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maracuja and the Jansen SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jansen SS's Fred Miranda was substituted for Claudinei Mota. Cláudio Paes hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th play minute Leonel Cardoso came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Luís Sarmento. 1-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Cardoso couldn't finish the play. Luís Sarmento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonel Cardoso in the 30th minute. Caetano Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Paes in the 35th minute of play. Luís Sarmento made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Anderson Guerra sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Novaes in the 41st minute of play forced Maracuja's goalkeeper Luís Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Maracuja's Luís Sarmento got control of the ball when Leonel Cardoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Maracuja getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremias dos Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Alfredão Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Leonel Cardoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Sarmento. Maracuja's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonel Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 63rd minute, Leonel Cardoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caetano Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Maracuja's Jeremias dos Santos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Caetano Proença. That made the score 3-1 after 71 minutes of play. Anderson Guerra's late challenge caught a Maracuja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anderson Guerra helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Maracuja booed when Jansen SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jansen SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Jeremias dos Santos scored to the left of an out of position Caetano Proença, making the score, 3-3. Caetano Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias dos Santos in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Maracuja's Cláudio Paes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caetano Proença narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Cláudio Paes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Jeremias dos Santos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Caetano Proença. That made the score 3-4 in the 93 minute of play. The Jansen SS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Maracuja's performance. The match ended with a win for Maracuja.
