Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telmo Lara in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dráuzio Sena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute, Telmo Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Paulo Renato Mangueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dráuzio Sena was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Cumati's Ernani Brodel got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Beneficente players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cumati were winning 0-1.

A hard shot 51 in the game by Válter Fonseca from a close distance when the talented Dráuzio Sena managed to make a qualified save. Beneficente's players were relieved. After having played for 57 minutes, Telmo Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cumati's supporters crossed their fingers, but Telmo Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo Renato Mangueira took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dráuzio Sena. Dráuzio Sena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Paulo Renato Mangueira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 66th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Hugo Zonta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dráuzio Sena having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Telmo Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dráuzio Sena was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Beneficente's Paulão de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Beneficente's zone, Hugo Zonta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráuzio Sena came out of the goal and Hugo Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Proença in the 95th minute of play forced Beneficente's goalkeeper Dráuzio Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cumati played a much better game than Beneficente and deserved their victory. The Beneficente players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
