This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Rodolfo Simão as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 12th match minute, Engenheiros Químicos PE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademir Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Jorge Carvalho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Engenheiros Químicos PE's Rodolfo Simão didn't even have to move. When Matheus Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Tangara SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matheus Guerra couldn't finish the play. Nuno Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Rodolfo Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Tangara SC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Tangara SC's Nuno Valladares looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 30thth minute of the game Nuno Valladares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Engenheiros Químicos PE's Rodolfo Simão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Agnaldo Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Engenheiros Químicos PE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agnaldo Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Rodolfo Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Nuno Valladares made the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Penha in the 57th minute of the match. Matheus Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodolfo Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the game, Nuno Valladares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Rodolfo Simão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Engenheiros Químicos PE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Rodolfo Simão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matheus Guerra went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. After 90 minutes, Matheus Guerra made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Engenheiros Químicos PE's Rodolfo Simão tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheus Guerra in the 94th minute of play forced Engenheiros Químicos PE's goalkeeper Rodolfo Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Rodolfo Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tangara SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
