With an all-out effort, Bernarda's Renatinho de Lara threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luiz Paulo de Carvalho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Paulo de Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tiago Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd match minute, Oquinimia SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. When Chiquinho Sarmento fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oquinimia SS's protests and gave Chiquinho Sarmento a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Bernarda. Tiago Mineiro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Renatinho de Lara. 4-0. The audience was convinced that Luiz Paulo de Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Renatinho de Lara was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Luiz Paulo de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. In the 84th minute, Válbson Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
