The tension between the Spayk2 and the Santos F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Spayk2's Filipe Ferraz got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Manfredo Hames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedrão Chaves in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simão de Medeiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Chaves in the 11th minute of play forced Spayk2's goalkeeper Simão de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Jeremias Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Spayk2's Jeremias Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19thth minute of the game Pedrão Chaves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spayk2's Simão de Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Jeremias Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spayk2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Barreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Robinho Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spayk2's supporters rose to their feet, but Robinho Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeremias Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Félix having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Santos F.C.'s Pedrão Chaves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simão de Medeiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Juvenal de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Félix having to interfere. Pedro Félix had great luck who in the 31stth minute grab hold of the ball when Jeremias Barreto from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 32nd minute, Juvenal de Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spayk2 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Juvenal de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Félix having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Pedrão Chaves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simão de Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 42 minutes, Paulo Cannavaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos F.C. and the Spayk2 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 42 played minutes Santos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Cannavaro. Simão de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Chaves in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedrão Chaves to make the kick off. Santos F.C.'s Pedro Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Barreto in the 56th minute of play. When Paulo Cannavaro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. The supporters of Spayk2 booed when Santos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Cannavaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Barreto in the 64th minute of the match. Jeremias Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Juvenal de Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juvenal de Sousa struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Pedro Félix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spayk2. If Juvenal de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Juvenal de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spayk2's supporters rose to their feet, but Juvenal de Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filipe Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Santos F.C.'s Ronaldo Oliva broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Santos F.C.'s Pedro Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal de Sousa in the 89th minute of play. Juvenal de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Spayk2's Juvenal de Sousa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Félix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Spayk2 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
