Otávio Arantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Luisinho Recife made a huge save. 37 minutes into the match, Wartec's goal looked a bit too open when Cido Tróia came free, but Luisinho Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Cido Tróia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luisinho Recife, 5-0. 45 minutes into the match, Otávio Arantes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luisinho Recife. Wartec's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Otávio Arantes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Luisinho Recife was a little too slow when Cido Tróia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 48th minute. The score was now 7-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Otávio Arantes made a kick off.
