Estádio Badajoz
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0)
Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Virgílio Eger started the match with the kick off. Cássio de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Sá's late challenge caught a Carira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Sá helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Carira booed when Badajoz SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Carira's Miguel Barral got control of the ball when Giovani Macedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Giovani Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st match minute, Badajoz SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egídio Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Giovani Macedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Miguel Barral made a huge save. After 28 minutes, Egídio Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Badajoz SC and the Carira players grew even worse after the yellow card. Egídio Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Carira's José Paulo Pinheiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Carira booed when Badajoz SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Paulo Pinheiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luciano Fernandez. Badajoz SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Albertinho Figueiredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Badajoz SC the free kick. In the 34th minute, Albertinho Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the match, Giovani Macedo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Carira's Miguel Barral. Miguel Barral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Miguel Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Eger in the 42nd minute of the match. Giovani Macedo in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Miguel Barral, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 46 played minutes Badajoz SC got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Sousa. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frédson Moreira made a kick off. When Albertinho Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Carira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertinho Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. Giovani Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Barral having to interfere. If Virgílio Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Cássio de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Barral came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Badajoz SC's Giovani Macedo. But to his dismay, Giovani Macedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Virgílio Eger took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Barral. Miguel Barral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After some careless play in the Carira defense, Marcel Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Barral. The Carira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Barral should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Carira's Filipe Alvarenga got a free kick in the 84th minute. The supporters of Badajoz SC booed when Carira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlinhos Mello took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Miguel Barral. Carira's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Giovani Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Badajoz SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
