But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hílton Fantini couldn't finish the play. A collision led to McLove getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Kauan Sousa hit a great ball. In the 34th match minute, McLove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Passos to maneuver through the defense. McLove's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Hílton Fantini scored to the left of an out of position Alvaro Cordarryl, making the score, 1-0. After 40 played minutes Juquiquera SC got a freekick which was hit by Hílton Fantini. 41 minutes into the game, Joel Viana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juquiquera SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave McLove the free kick. Alvaro Cordarryl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hílton Fantini in the 43rd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Donato Dias sped through Juquiquera SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Breno Botelho. 59 minutes into the game, Arif Egemen Akman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. McLove's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juquiquera SC the free kick. After 80 played minutes, Juquiquera SC's Gilberto Rossi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alvaro Cordarryl came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Juquiquera SC reached it. If Arif Egemen Akman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arif Egemen Akman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Botelho having to interfere.
