The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 5th minute, Kauan Sampaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juarês Miranda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Alberto Toledo went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Tapuirama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wellington Negri in the 23rd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Michel Linhares heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Cléberson Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Lobao's goal looked a bit too open when Cléberson Costa came free, but Tiago Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 played minutes Tapuirama got a freekick which was hit by Edu Maranhense. After a defensive mix-up in Tapuirama's zone, Reginaldo de Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juarês Miranda came out of the goal and Reginaldo de Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Reginaldo de Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michel Linhares hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Juarês Miranda successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cléberson Costa was the one to do the kick off. Tapuirama's Juarês Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Toledo in the 57th minute of play. Carlos Alberto Toledo struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Juarês Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lobao. Américo Neves's late challenge caught a Lobao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Américo Neves helped the player get up and apologised. Juarês Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Tapuirama getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Américo Neves hit a great ball. Reginaldo de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juarês Miranda having to interfere. In the 67th minute Carlos Alberto Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juarês Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Reginaldo de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lobao's supporters rose to their feet, but Reginaldo de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juarês Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Reginaldo de Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juarês Miranda was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. After having played for 73 minutes, Reginaldo de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lobao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reginaldo de Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juarês Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo de Amorim in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reginaldo de Amorim in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juarês Miranda saved Tapuirama from getting behind. A collision led to Tapuirama getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Michel Linhares hit a great ball. Carlos Alberto Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juarês Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo de Amorim in the 95th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Lobao's corner Célio Pinheiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Juarês Miranda quite easily take care of the ball.
