Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fernando Paes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Eusébio Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Gaturamo's Didi Duarte seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Didi Duarte the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gaturamo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Didi Duarte had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gaturamo! Gaturamo:s Chico Tinoco showed great skill when he stopped Claudinei Corrêa:s penalty. In the 23rd minute, Manoel Chaves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Paes in the 24th minute of play forced Gaturamo's goalkeeper Chico Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Gaturamo defense, Gilberto Zanette kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chico Tinoco. The Gaturamo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chico Tinoco should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Zanette got free with Chico Tinoco in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Arí Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Gaturamo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arí Matorin couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Gaturamo's Chico Tinoco got control of the ball when Gilberto Zanette tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chico Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gilberto Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Gilberto Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capipi's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Zanette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chico Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chico Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arí Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Arósio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Zanette in the 75th minute of play forced Gaturamo's goalkeeper Chico Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gilberto Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Paes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chico Tinoco having to make a save. If Arí Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chico Tinoco came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Capipi's Gilberto Zanette. But to his dismay, Gilberto Zanette quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. When the referee ended the match the Capipi players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
