The Tucunzeiro SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeu Passos should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute, Perivaldo de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Augusto Simões came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Tucunzeiro SC's Bernardo Arotza. But to his dismay, Bernardo Arotza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. José Augusto Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hílton Mazza in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arlindo Ferraz got free with Amadeu Passos in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Tucunzeiro SC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ediberto Mello hit a great ball. Amadeu Passos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arlindo Ferraz in the 31st minute. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Fernandão Moreira took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Amadeu Passos to make any attempt to save it. With an all-out effort, Itamorotinga EC's Amadeu Passos threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fernandão Moreira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Amadeu Passos made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Arlindo Ferraz sent off a good shot on target. Arlindo Ferraz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Amadeu Passos made a huge save. Amadeu Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Saraiva in the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

After 51 played minutes Itamorotinga EC got a freekick which was hit by Dorival Motta. If Hílton Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Ramón Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Fernandão Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Amadeu Passos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 61 minutes into the match, Tucunzeiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Motta came free, but Amadeu Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Tucunzeiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Ferraz came free, but Amadeu Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th match minute, Tucunzeiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto Mello to maneuver through the defense. Arlindo Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Amadeu Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeu Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Saraiva in the 78th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tucunzeiro SC's goalkeeper Amadeu Passos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Fernandão Moreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeu Passos. Tucunzeiro SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernandão Moreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Saraiva in the 88th minute of play forced Tucunzeiro SC's goalkeeper Amadeu Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Passos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramón Saraiva went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. 97 minutes into the match, Tucunzeiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandão Moreira came free, but Amadeu Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Itamorotinga EC had played much better football throughout.
