Mathias Freitas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iuri Macedo went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Cajueiras SS getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Tostão Rosado hit a great ball. Mathias Freitas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iuri Macedo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri Macedo in the 17th minute of play forced Cajueiras SS's goalkeeper Mathias Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cléber Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Cássio de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Gláuber Fonseca made a precise shot to the right of Mathias Freitas. Cajueiras SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 26th minute Iuri Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 played minutes Arnold Sport Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gláuber Fonseca. If Robinho Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Arnold Sport Clube getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Anderson Alves hit a great ball. In the 41st minute Robinho Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Fonseca in the 44th minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cajueiras SS's Robinho Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Luiz Fabiano Peixoto made the kick off in the second half. Robinho Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Cássio de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Hames hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Tostão Maciel, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Robinho Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias Freitas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gláuber Fonseca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 61 minute of play. Nelsinho Chaves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Mathias Freitas made a huge save. Mathias Freitas made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when José Vítor de Godoy sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute, José Vítor de Godoy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arnold Sport Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. If Robinho Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelsinho Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cajueiras SS's Mathias Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Cajueiras SS from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Chaves in the 77th minute of play forced Cajueiras SS's goalkeeper Mathias Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathias Freitas made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Iuri Macedo sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, José Vítor de Godoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Cajueiras SS's goal looked a bit too open when Gláuber Fonseca came free, but Mathias Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathias Freitas was a little too slow when José Vítor de Godoy got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-5. Robinho Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio de Senna having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Fabiano Peixoto in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cássio de Senna saved Arnold Sport Clube from getting behind. The Arnold Sport Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Arnold Sport Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
