Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marcos Cruz kicked off to start the match. Betinho Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesinha Maia in the 8th minute of play. In the 12thth minute of the game Fabiano Soares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cujuhim SC's Alberto França was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cujuhim SC's zone, Marcos Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto França came out of the goal and Marcos Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jean Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Marcos Cruz hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the match, Simão Amorim notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Grussai's Betinho Cunha. Betinho Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberto França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Cruz in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to Grussai getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ademar Martins hit a great ball. Arí Silveira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Marcos Cruz got in the 32nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Alberto França handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Betinho Cunha was a little too slow when Cesinha Maia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 2-0. Erivaldo Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cesinha Maia to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Marcos Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simão Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cesinha Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Betinho Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betinho Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesinha Maia's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Grussai's Luisão Porto got a free kick in the 61st minute. Cesinha Maia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Betinho Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Erivaldo Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 played minutes Grussai got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Martins. 73 minutes into the game, Simão Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cujuhim SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grussai the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cujuhim SC's Simão Amorim got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cujuhim SC's goalkeeper Alberto França, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Betinho Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesinha Maia in the 82nd minute of the match. Simão Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Grussai's goal looked a bit too open when Cesinha Maia came free, but Betinho Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Cruz in the 92nd minute of play forced Cujuhim SC's goalkeeper Alberto França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute of the match Grussai got a corner. Cujuhim SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frederico Terra ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Simão Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cujuhim SC had won after a very even match.
