They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Terra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, José Terra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teixera's supporters rose to their feet, but José Terra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilson Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alan Couto got free with Gilson Barros in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind BrendaeCarlos's goalkeeper Gilson Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Fellipe Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Teixera could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BrendaeCarlos throughout the match.
