Marcos Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Paulista having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Parpinelli SC's goal looked a bit too open when José Terra came free, but Luiz Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Umberto Paulista was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Guga Moreira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 47 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Terra made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Linares in the 56th minute of play forced Teixera's goalkeeper Umberto Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Efren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Umberto Paulista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Rosado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
