Cauan Campidelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Indaval's Perivaldo Reis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felipe Gaúcho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Jano Fantini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Cauan Campidelis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the match, Araguaína FC's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Reis came free, but Felipe Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Indaval fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cauan Campidelis should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jano Fantini in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauan Campidelis saved Indaval from getting behind. In the 48th minute, Sandro Nunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Araguaína FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jano Fantini to make the kick off. The supporters of Araguaína FC booed when Indaval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Jano Fantini made a precise shot to the right of Cauan Campidelis. Indaval's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 73rd minute, Indaval's Geovanni Fernandes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Araguaína FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Indaval had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
