Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Raúl de Amaral kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the game, Tony Couto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paicandu SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AVAÍ F. C. the free kick. The supporters of AVAÍ F. C. booed when Paicandu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Paicandu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl de Amaral came free, but João Pedro de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 10 minutes, Aírton Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paicandu SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aírton Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raúl de Amaral took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Pedro de Queirós. João Pedro de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 17 minutes into the game, Hélio Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AVAÍ F. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paicandu SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, AVAÍ F. C.'s Hélio Freire got a free kick in the 17th minute. Perivaldo Matorin charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Perivaldo Matorin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Perivaldo Matorin hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Giuseppe Leme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Pedro de Queirós having to make a save. The supporters of AVAÍ F. A very good chance. If Raúl de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Giuseppe Leme might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Pedro de Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giuseppe Leme ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Paicandu SC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Serginho Nascimento hit a great ball. Raúl de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. João Pedro de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AVAÍ F. C.. If Perivaldo Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 45th minute Giuseppe Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Pedro de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

AVAÍ F. C.'s Hortêncio Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Barbosa in the 51st minute of play. If Zacarias de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to AVAÍ F. C. getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Váldson Leal hit a great ball. Perivaldo Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. João Pedro de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The long shot by Anísio Vale in the 64th minute really tested João Pedro de Queirós's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Raúl de Amaral succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 67th playminute. 72 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zacarias de Andrade came free, but Hortêncio Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th match minute, Paicandu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Raúl de Amaral fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a little luck, Paicandu SC's João Pedro de Queirós got control of the ball when Raúl de Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paicandu SC's João Pedro de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Matorin in the 77th minute of play. After 79 minutes of play Paicandu SC's Tony Couto was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 80th minute, Tony Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see AVAÍ F. C.'s Váldson Leal in action when he in the 81st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Raúl de Amaral did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised João Pedro de Queirós 83 minutes into the match. Diego Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Giuseppe Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro de Queirós having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Raúl de Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AVAÍ F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. When the final whistle sounded AVAÍ F. C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paicandu SC.
