After a rather tough play, Eritreia EC's Anderson Lopez got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Arauna SS were awarded a corner. Fernando Corrêa went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Arauna SS's corner Fernando Corrêa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Amadeu de Castro quite easily take care of the ball. In the 18th minute, Oséias Cordeiro made a precise shot to the right of Grzegorz Roman. Arauna SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, José Augusto Paulista notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Eritreia EC's Amadeu de Castro. Amadeu de Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Edmílson Guerra put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Amadeu de Castro. Edmílson Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeu de Castro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmílson Guerra ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 36th match minute, Eritreia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diguinho Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Pedro Augusto Barral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Arauna SS's Edmílson Guerra fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 47 minutes into the game, José Augusto Paulista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Amadeu de Castro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmílson Guerra to make the kick off. Edmílson Guerra struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Amadeu de Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arauna SS. After 54 minutes of play, Arauna SS's José Augusto Paulista made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amadeu de Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edmílson Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renato Damião could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Grzegorz Roman made a huge save. 64 minutes into the match, José Augusto Paulista notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Eritreia EC's Amadeu de Castro. Amadeu de Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Guerra in the 69th minute of play forced Eritreia EC's goalkeeper Amadeu de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 minutes, José Augusto Paulista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arauna SS and the Eritreia EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If José Augusto Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Arauna SS had played much better football throughout.
