After a rather tough play, Jardinopolis EC's Arthur Aguiar got a free kick in the 4th minute. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Dagoberto Pires put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Waldemar Queiroz. Dagoberto Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Queiroz having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Jardinopolis EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. Dagoberto Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th match minute, Jardinopolis EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Yuri Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hílton Godoi in the 22nd minute. In the 28thth minute of the game Dagoberto Pires who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jardinopolis EC's Waldemar Queiroz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dagoberto Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermínio Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Queiroz having to interfere. Dagoberto Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Waldemar Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Vauzinho's Hermínio Reis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waldemar Queiroz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some careless play in the Jardinopolis EC defense, Dagoberto Pires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldemar Queiroz. The Jardinopolis EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldemar Queiroz should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafa Barbosa was the one to do the kick off. Hermínio Reis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Waldemar Queiroz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermínio Reis in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldemar Queiroz saved Jardinopolis EC from getting behind. In the 57th match minute, Jardinopolis EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. Dagoberto Pires struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Waldemar Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vauzinho. Dagoberto Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 64th minute of the match Aníbal Vander sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Waldemar Queiroz skillfully saved the ball. Dagoberto Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermínio Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waldemar Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hermínio Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. Waldemar Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Dagoberto Pires sent off a good shot on target. Tiaguinho Paulista charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiaguinho Paulista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Tiaguinho Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiaguinho Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Dagoberto Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hermínio Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dagoberto Pires's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waldemar Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Dagoberto Pires in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Waldemar Queiroz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hílton Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Yuri Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Allan Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Hermínio Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vauzinho played a much better game than Jardinopolis EC and deserved their victory. The Jardinopolis EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
